Here is a better picture of how Idle Air fits to the window. A plastic template is provided which fits your truck. You basically wind your window down, pop the template in place and wind the window up securing the template then fit the flexible hose. I couldn't get hold of anyone who had it fitted so I could get a pic from the inside of the cab.
H&R trucks are fitted with a small generator (Tripac) which not only monitors the charge of the truck batteries but also provides aircon, night heating plus a mains electrical supply. As far as I am aware the tripac does not come under anti-idling laws.
