First casualties of the snow and iceHowdy, on my way to sunny California, taking Tom to Las Vegas and winter decides to kick in, bloody awesome !!!
Woke at Helena to a light covering of snow which got steadily worse the further south we headed. As far as I am aware the Interstate is closed about an hour down the road so I will sit and keep an eye on the Idaho website until it opens. An easy trip is now going wrong...again.

Hi Mick, its the same as anywhere, you drive according to the conditions. Nine times out of ten you catch someone up and cant get past which is a blessing really as it forces you to slow down

How come the US and Canada just seem to get on with bad weather when a few flakes of snow here in the UK cause chaos bringing the country to a halt.

Hi Gizzard. Yup, people just keep going and take whats thrown at them.
Fortunately people heed the warnings to stay at home unless they must travel so that keeps a lot of cars off the road.
Dont panic Jim as I am sure you will be getting your fair share of the white stuff before long.
